The February mid-term break saw over 220 young sailors make their way
to West Cork to take part in training camps for the ISA pathway
classes.
In Baltimore, 140 optimist sailors attended the now famous IODAI mid
term break camp. Meanwhile over in Schull 30 lasers trained with the
regional squads, and 14 420s took part in their training camp before the
Munster Championships.
It was also great to see clubs leading the coaching initiative with
14 Toppers from both RCYC and HYC making the trip and taking advantage
of the excellent conditions down on Schull harbour.
Conditions were varied and temperatures mild allowing for a great
week of sailing to get everyone on the water and look towards the
Pathway Nationals which will take place in Howth Yacht Club from the
31st of March to the 4th of April.
