About Us
The Irish Sailing Foundation (ISF) is a Not-For-Profit organisation, that raises funds to support Irish Sailing’s Performance Pathway Programmes.
These Programmes are designed to develop and support talented young Irish sailors enabling them to be more competitive on the world stage.
We are passionate about the development of young people through sailing and in facilitating them in unlocking their full potential through sailing.
What We Do
The ISF supports Irish Sailing by helping them fund their Performance Pathway Programmes, which facilitate greater opportunity for young Irish sailors to compete internationally.
We receive donations from individual and corporate donors who support our vision to unlock Ireland’s full potential as a sailing nation.
Our Impact
Since its establishment in 2015, the ISF has invested almost €3m on the development of people, programmes and facilities for Irish Sailing.
Over 300 athletes have benefitted from this investment, made possible through donor funding.
Investment has enabled increased access to world class coaches, and expert sport scientists such as physio, strength and conditioning, as well as meteorologists, nutritionists and data scientists. The impact of this investment is evident in our results from youth sailors through to the Olympic squad.
The ISF has also provided direct support to athletes in the form of bursaries, logistical support and equipment purchase.
Support from the ISF has enabled a step change in our Performance environment thanks to capital projects such as Performance HQ in Dun Laoghaire as well as the purchase of support boats and equipment.
