About Us
The Irish Sailing Foundation (ISF) is a Not-For-Profit organisation, that raises funds to support Irish Sailing’s Performance Pathway Programmes.
These Programmes are designed to develop and support talented young Irish sailors enabling them to be more competitive on the world stage.
We are passionate about the development of young people through sailing and in facilitating them in unlocking their full potential through sailing.
What We Do
The ISF supports Irish Sailing by helping them fund their Performance Pathway Programmes, which facilitate greater opportunity for young Irish sailors to compete internationally.
We receive donations from individual and corporate donors who support our vision to unlock Ireland’s full potential as a sailing nation.
Our Impact
Since its establishment in 2015, the ISF has invested almost €3m on the development of people, programmes and facilities for Irish Sailing.
Over 300 athletes have benefitted from this investment, made possible through donor funding. The benefit of this investment is evident in Irish Sailing results from at National, European, World and Olympic level.
Investment has enabled increased access to world class coaches and expert sport scientists such as physio, strength and conditioning, as well as meteorologists, nutritionists and data scientists.
The ISF has also provided direct support to athletes in the form of bursaries, logistics support and equipment purchase.
Through the full-funding of the Performance HQ in Dun Laoghaire, the purchase of equipment, the ISF’s financial support has enabled positive progression in the Irish Sailing Performance environment.
The ISF’s longer term objective is to fund a new world-class training facility for Performance sailing in Dun Laoghaire.
